I have a cable modem and a router but I cant find an ethernet slot on my PS2. The HDD I have only has a slot for a smaller cable, it looks like one for a phone line or something. Where is the ethernet slot?

You mean your network adapter only has one slot? mine has one, but it's ethernet. Maybe you're using the wrong type of cable.

I don't think so. I think there are only 2 versions, one with 2 slots and one with just one slot. I have just one slot and it's ethernet. Try one of the smaller cables, the one that runs to your router.

Well then thats not it, I have like 4 Ethernet cables lying around, one that I use for my ethernet connection to my PC. This is just really strange.

Sorry for the trouble but I am the biggest idiot on the planet the yellow sticker was covering the Ethernet slot its an HDD with a phone and ethernet slot like you had said.... I had gotten this from my friend who has had the HDD for a year so it never really crossed my mind that it would be behind the yellow sticker... Thanks for the help!
