I like the original because it was the most terrifying game at the time( and it still is one of the scariest). The fog was cool and that little girl in the school freaked me out! Its definitely the best although Silent Hill 2 was good as well.
My favourite is Silent Hill 2. Its got a great atmosphere, a good storyline, a catchy soundtrack and some inventive puzzles. Now I have played through all five I would rank the game SH2>SH>Origins>SH3>SH4
I've always thought that Harry was a better character than James... James is just plain dumb, Heather is like I dunno, also dumb. Also I think the original is way scarier than the others.
