Personally I am partial to Sephiroth. The scene where you come upon the giant snake impaled on the tree was one of the great FF moments of all time. His multiple forms in the final battle were also great.

Also I have to ask you HONENHEIM. What exactly do you consider wisdom and eloquence? You should replay FF7 and 2 (4). Cid is portrayed as gritty and Ill mannered in both of those games. I agree that all of the Cid incantations are great but they all possess different qualities and personalities.
