FFX was a great game, but i gotta hand it to FFXII, i like the gambit system and the license points idea, also the ability to add more mist combo's is nice. One thing i thought was cool was the new esper's, i wanted to see the old ones, but they added new ones that are still cool though.2ndWonderI loved the new designs for em, except Belias...he can die for suckin the way he does lol
I prefer FFX world and story over FFXII.FFXII has better gameplay then FFX and better graphics but the world is not as magical(dunno if i said this right) as FFX's.There are no places in FFXII thst are beautiful as zanarkand or the moonflow, makalania forest and others.FFXII does have a variety of different places and it's bigger than FFX world but i still like the one in FFX more. The story is good in FFXII but not as good as FFX story. It's a good story but it isn't that story that makes you play the game till you finish it just too see what happens in the end.It could have been, but it's not. When i was playing FFXII i usualy forgot that there is a story and i played it only cause of the great gameplay. When i was playing FFX i couldn't sleep because i was thinking what's gonna happen next. And one thing that i like more in FFXII is that the main character is not annoying as Tidus.I mean,i like Tidus but he gets realy annoying sometimes and acts like a child:xSo,FFX wins this one.Yeah dude FF X was very awesome. I loved he Airship you flew around in too....but The Judges made for some of the best story driven plots ever! I do hope they make a game where a city can even hope to rival Zanarkand...but until they do (which could be awhile) I'm gonna give the cake to FFXII, not because Ten sucked...but because Seymor (spelling err) didn't strike me as evil as threatening as the Judges...although he made me hate a character for the first time ever lol (YUNA IS MY BOO NOT YOURS) lol! I remeber being like whoa whoa whoa...she like Tidus...!

cmon ppl its not right to choose best of those! cuz these games are completely different! put away moogles and chocobos from FFXII and it wont be FF anymore..all what we see here its that FFX was last old school game in series...Psych0_W0lfAgree with you whole heartedly and I must point out that if this trend continues, in the not very far future FF will join the list of other high profile RP games that sold there souls just for the sake of attracting wider range of audience ($).
[QUOTE="dancinaps"](bloody Star wars replicate)2deluxeBloody hell here we go again. And Star Wars is a replicate of what? WESTERNS. Listen, FFXii has more than few similarities with the Star Wars you like it or not , the judges look and sound like Darth Vader . the setting, the environment, you name it everything looks familiar, you can argue all nightlong that it isn't like that but in truth it is. I've been playing Final Fantasy for over 15 years now and I can tell you honestly this entry in the series isn't in any shape or form similar to other Final fantasy games and I put it down to Sakaguchi resigning.

Many things in entertainment are derived from older ones. You basically can't create music without sampling something found in other songs. It's a fact of life.

Indeed, but Final Fantasy is not a western made game and trying to be one all of sudden loses the franchise's charm as well as losing it identity.
Okay so your question is: Final Fantast X, or Final Fantasy XII?I think anyone who hasn't already played FFX should take whatever you've said with a pinch of salt, because you simply don't have any knowledge of real meaning behind the FFX story (probably because of it idiom) . but SE basically ruined the original story by releasing a sequel to that game and turning it into a childish idiocy just for the sake of making more money.
Let's have a brief review of both...
Final Fantasy XFinal Fantasy XII
- Stars a boy named Tidus, who has a terrible fashion sense, and isn't tough at all, cries to much, and laughs randomly with...
- Yuna, a High Summoner who is a nice girl and all, but isn't half as tough as...
- Rikku, a theif that actually is a pretty good character, except for the fact that she whines way more than...
- Auron, a silent guy with a big sword, and takes crap from no one, who also is a main character because he knows...
- Jecht, who turns incidentally into a gigantic monster named Sin and eats people...wee.
So far, I haven't played too much of this game, but it seems a lot less whiny and more epic than ten. And I like the characters better, so ha.
Verdict:Neither. I choose VII.

Dude...The Judges made FF XII in a word EPIC. Sure we all loved X's story (I cherish it still and hate the bastard child named X-2) but my point is the fact that FF XII doesn't rely on all the gimmicks that make a Final Fantasy Formula complete. FF X milked em hard....(not as bad as FF8 but still) I see the artisitc similarity to Star Wars but CANNOT say they ripped em off...They used a similar formula...not the same...Star Wars has been HEAVILY used in FF games for the longest time...going so far as to have characters named in the games after Star Wars characters....it's all my opinion I suppose though...point being 10 was a pretty version of 8 + 9....FFXII is a pretty version of itself...god forbid they make an FF XII - 2

I like more FFX beacuse of the story. it's fantastic you just feel sad whan you finisih the game and you think that it worths your money(for ex. I spent $50 for my FFX) sphere grid is more interesting than the licence stuff.
FFXII is more political, which I don't like, battle systems are boring, dungeons are so big that are boring too. well, it is very boring overall. Although graphics were incredible. Story isn't interesting and you won't understand nothing at some parts of the game.
