Not in to overly difficult games. I've heard FF games are usually pretty hard.
Is Rogue Galaxy a similar game? Is it as long a game?
Thanks.
I have beated both games. My overall view of FFXII is it's a great game overall. I like the combat system its more fast pace. You can see enemies in the enviroment and there are no load screens during battles. Rogue Galaxy is great too but I didn't like how some of the enviroments are so long and repetitive. I had to backtrack many times to reach my destination on the map. The combat system for Rogue Galaxy is theres one jump button, melee attack button and shoot button. The triangle button is your item/magic. You can basically jump around and fight how you want. You can't see your enemies in this game but when they do pop up there are no load screens. You just fight the enemy in that same enviroment your end so the battle too is fast pace. Both games are great. I didn't regret playing either of them. Truvietplayayour so lucky, that you have played both. :[
FFXII, hands down!!! Come on, it's a Final Fantasy, how can you say "no" to that?rickshaoEasy: 'No'. I had FF12 and I traded it in after the 40 hour mark. Everyone ran blindly toward this game proclaiming it another 'FF masterpeice'; while I certainly think it is a good game I think it was really over-rated, too. Really, I think that if Unlimited Saga had the Final Fantasy name on it, people would give it a higher score for that alone. So far the only reveiw I have seen for FF12 that I agree with is the one on allrpg.com. And while I think thier score is too low, I do agree with their qualms with the game. I have only played 13 or so hours of RG, but at least it feels like I am doing something other than steering my characters and watching them fight. And to rickshao, this post isn't necessarily aimed at you, just the whole 'FF is the only RPG that is worthwhile' mentality.

Well, I played FF XII for 90 hours, beat the game, could have played it longer, and probably will sometime because of how addictive and enjoyable the game is.
I'm currently not enjoying Rogue Galaxy and I'm only 10 hours in. I'm very disappointed and I'm now having a hard time picking this game up to play it, simply because I find the game to be a chore to play. At first, I thought it was fun and was enjoying the battle system but now... I don't care for the gimmicky boss battles, or the lackluster AI, or the whole potion, potion, potion, potion, potion, potion game play. Sometimes the characters die so fast you're left standing there wondering what the hell happened, which of course, results in yet another potion to revive.
I know pretty much all games can be considered repetitive but Rogue Galaxy really feels too repetitive (for me). I have to go with XII for being the better game(not the best Final Fantasy), as I enjoyed it from beginning to end. As for Rogue, if I don't trade it in, it will get my coaster award. This is just my opinion, sorry if you don't like it.
We usually agree on games, just not between FF12 and Rouge Galaxy! lol.Well, I played FF XII for 90 hours, beat the game, could have played it longer, and probably will sometime because of how addictive and enjoyable the game is.

You both made very excellent points and I'm proud of you for that.
And Rogue Galaxy definitely sounds like it's worth the purchase.
