At their current price, I agree.. you'll get more bang for your buck with FFXII.
Wait for a price drop with GoWII and go with XII, for now. It's a pretty lengthy adventure, I've clocked around 180 hours with a few things left to do, while GoWII is around 10-12 hours your first time through.
FF12 is completely overhyped and anyone telling you it's anything other than a single-player MMO with no real story/interesting gameplay is a big fanboy. GOW2 on the other hand is just all around great gameplay and great visuals. Sure FF12 is longer, because you sit there and grind boring monsters 99% of the time while the game does all the fighting for you.
hah i bought both but if u want my opion id say FF cause i beat GOW2 in 2 days. ff i havent beaten yet..... ive havent played it for very long... BUT GET FF!!!

I love FF franchise but i think 12 was dull as hell, and i agree with the fact that it has a boring story(i dont want no obsessive blind idiot fanboy saying otherwise, cause love series as much as the next guy) that goes nowhere , probably due to Matsuno leaving, and a dull world whereas god of war 2 is a brilliantly well put together game almost beyond anything i've ever played and possibly 2nd to only Ninja Gaiden for pure action. It all comes down to whether you want quality or quantity. And this is coming from a rpg fan.

FFXII is a single-player MMO, but to behonest I'd still buy FFXII and play it to death. The only thing I dont like about it is Vaan, he is such an idiot. GpW2, what can I say, its a GoW game. Do yourself a favour and just get both.

Yeah he's asking for advice, and they give him GOOD REASONS to get GOW2 instead. What they say is hella more convincing than just "get gow2 bcuz its cool"
I loved God of War, but I also love Final Fantasy 12. As for money concerns, I'd go with FF 12 since it lasts forever ( almost) and God of War 2 is more of a short but amazing games.

Buy what you most like RPG or Action ,if you want a long game with nice quest and story,to ride a chocobo,to play with party,buy FFXII,and if u like a action game with a lot of blood,thausend hits on enemies.,to cut their head,to kill a huge bosses,and a fun game but a little short buy GOW2 :P
