If you have played the others why ignore that one?? I think thats the one with that minigame called Tetra. Its a card game and youtake turns placingcards with numbers and elemental properties onto a grid board and the goal is to flip over your opponents cards and make them your own and control most of the cards by the end. Theres only like 9 spaces. The cards can interact with each other in a lot of different ways. As for the rest of the game.... its like every other FF game. FF9 was probably a precursor to FF chrystal chronicles because the characters look short round and cartoony. Im not saying thats a good or bad thing im just saying I bet it is what led to the concept of crystal chronicles. Man if you havent played FF:CC on gamecube you really should try to rent a gamecube/wii and that game. Its one of the sweetest FF games in my opinion.I will totally be envious of anyone with a Wii when CC2 drops._AbBaNdOn
You're confusing part of the FF IX card game with the card game in FFVIII.
Anyway, you should definitely get FF IX. It's definitely one of my favorite FFs.
Final Fantasy IX is a classic, and I'd say it'd be in my 20 greatest games of all time. So yeah, you should buy it.
It's pretty cool. I liked it, but I played it after my 1st of the series, 7 then 8...so the graphics and lack of speech may be a turn-off to this generation of new gamers. Not saying you, TC, are, but just a head's up.
I thought it was great while other people I knew hated it. It's the good FF. Side quests, minigames, limit breaks and summons.....and an appealing story. It's very good. I probably enjoyed that more than 8.
FFIX was the first FF I everplayed, and it made me want to buy all the other ones (which I did...)
That being said, I'm pretty much sick of it by now.
But I loved it to death when I first played it, so I'd get it if I were you.
I enjoyed FF9 more than some of the other recent titles. The game is a lot of fun and I think the chars in the game are amusing. Plus you get to play as Vivi.....I mean what is any better than that!
