Word. It has a really cool story, characters are pretty cool, and just the different worlds you explore and whatnot are amazing. I personally liked the setting of FFVIII the best, but FFX was truely next gen back in its hay-day in 2001!

hmmmm...the story set the standard for jrpg's last gen(ToS ripped off half of the story), the main characters were all fully developed, the devs were among the first to make trluy expressive characters on the ps2, the graphics and battle animations were amazing when the game was 1st released,and a sphere grid-like systemis still used in most jrpg's.

I saw number 256 but thenc hecked 609 and thought I should get it, but 569 was better than 234 so I was checking in the internet and saw that version 2049 was coming out.
C'mon This Game is like Pokemon, it never ends and they keep up coming out of nowhere.
I wouldn't say FFX is the best, but it is really good. It gives a different feel for rpgs. Also, you said that you didn't like any of the other FF games you played (except for 12), so maybe you just don't like the FF style or maybe just RPGs in general. But I think this has inspired me to play FFX(and actually beat it this time) again after I beat FFVIII.
I thought it had one of the best storylines of all FF games. Definitely top 3 imo. I guess it also might be the fact that they had heavily upgraded graphics, and a totally unique and very popular new system of stat enhancing. I liked it.
