i love kingdom hearts, the music and the characters, the graphics the story.... I also thought FF 10 was way overrated. the graphics are ok, but its nothing special, music starts to get annoying, voice acting is horrific, and the story is a typical final fantasy story(some big happens, boy meets girl, they fall in love, big thing happens and a sappy ending included)
Truth is, I believe Kingdom Hearts to be overrated.
The story is mixed up in some parts, lazy in other parts, totally forgoten in other parts, and completely rushed out at the end. New "big" characters are presented out of nowhere (the final boss appears about two hours before the end), and most of the interest is about meeting new disney characters.
Don't get me wrong. It is a good game... But not the greatest ever as some people tend to believe.
How can you even compare these two? Sure they both have stories for kids but one is a traditional number cruncher while the other is an action adventure game.
So what if they are two different types of games. He is basicly asking which one you think is better. A question that gets asked a lot on theses boards. WTF is wrong with that?
As much as I love Kingdom Hearts(hence the name), FFX is the best RPG I've ever played in my entire life. And thats sayin' alot. Maybe I'm a bit biased since it was my first RPG that I played. Bottom line is, they are both very good fames and are both worth your time and money.
P.S.-The sequels to both games are excellent as well!!!

Well, Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy X are both rpg games. That's why I compared them together...yea Kingdom Hearts is an "Action RPG", but it still has "RPG" in it, right? Exactly.
Anyways, I feel ashamed. I saw Final Fantasy X in a store, and I just looked at it, and decided to get .hack//Infection instead. Worst decision I probably made in my life. X_x

Hehe yea I purchased my ps2 late on purpose (about 3 monthes ago). that's because that's when all the games are cheaper instead of $50..
I'd say FFX. the story is long and deep, not bad graphics as it was released as the PS2 many years ago. The series got one of the best voice actings out there.
but it also depends on which type you like better. FFX is like the typical RPG with turn-based battle and long anmations each time you cost a spell. KH on the other hand is more of a action rpg type.
I loved them both but I am gonna say FF a little more because I am more of a RPG nut than anything. KH was a great game though and really like it as well.
i mean KH2 is, to me, is an action rpg, while FFX is a traditional rpg.. if u prefer action, running and hacking thing, then KH2 is the game, but if u prefer a more in-depth character building, then FFX is u'r game..
I enjoyed Kingdom Hearts much more, but that's just me, and I'm in the "FFX is overrated" camp. FFX is still worth getting; there's plenty of people that love it.
i hate kingdom hearts all together. its a rubbish game that copies all my favorite ff characters and ruins them with their clown shoes and oversized heads, they mixed disney characters withdisney characters and i have no idea where they got tht stupid idea from its the worst mix since they mixed pepsi with lime!

I say you ought to get both. In case you play one and then start to get bored you can switch games and vice versa. If you get one, you might regret getting the other, so choose wisely.
