Until the PS3 starts pumping out the good software, I'm concentrating on picking up all those PS2 games I should have gotten a long time ago. Now's the time for platformers, so I'm debating R&C vs. Jak and Daxter.

I will say that I'm currently leaning more towards R&C since the next one's coming out on the PS3 not too long from now.

Well, I havent played Jak & daxter 1&2. but I did play 3 and it was awesome, so idk about the first 2, but I do know that all the Ratchet and Clank games are awesome, I've played them all, so I'd try them first before Jak

although i think that the writing for J&D is wittier, R&C is still a better game

Well, if a platformer is what you want... Jak & Daxter is the only way to go. Ratchet relies too heavily on weapons to still be considered a platformer. And the rest of the Jak series is nowhere near the platformer genre. But Ratchet is closer to it than Jak 2 and 3, and if you have a PS3, might as well wait for the next Ratchet game. If you want a PS2 Ratchet game, get either 2 or 3. Deadlocked/Gladiator is just a third person shooter.

both games are very good and you should own them all but I would have to say that I liked R&C better

I disagree. R&C is the same thing every time. The Jak series actually has a story that continues in each game. Well, actually just in 2 and 3, but still.
