Game Suggestions For a n00b?

Ok, in my opinion... Beyond Good & Evil, Suikoden V, Okami, Valkyrie Profile 2, Radiata Stories, Tales of Legendia, Disgaea, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, Sphinx, Project Snowblind... Were all some great games that I feel many missed out on or could be considered under-appreciated.

Shadow of the Colossus(only mentioned because you mentioned Ico) is also very much worth mentioning.  Now that I mention it, that's a lot of mentioning. lol.

EDIT: Psychonauts would be another under-appreciated game.

Ghosthunter, beatmania, Pump It Up Exceed, Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories (nowhere near as popular as the old VC, and its much better on the PS2), Sky Odessey (or whatever that flying game is), Mr. Mosquito, Ape Escape 3.

RPG = FF series, Dragon Quest 8, shin megami tensen series, shadow hearts 1 and 2

Action = Okami, Devil may cry series, Onimusha series, Shadows of Colossus, Metal Gear series, God of war series,

Action RPG = Rogue Galaxy, Kingdom hearts 1 and 2

Racing = Need for speed series, burnout series

sports = winning eleven series..

These are the games which i can think now.. can't think properly coz i'm working :P

Don' t Call yourself a noob. It's not a bad thing if you just have your ps2.
