Rouge Galaxy - awesome cel-shaded action RPG

Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 - yes there are disney characters but is made by Square-enix

Dragon Quest V111 - great old school style RPG with character designs for the creator of DBZ

All those games were fun to play especially Suikoden.

The PS2 is a freakin playground when it comes to RPG's.

Disgaea is good and pretty funny if you can find a copy.

Rogue Galaxy is great.

Dark Cloud 2 is like the PS2's Zelda.

Tales Of The Abyss - Real time gameplay - amazing combos and special moves. - story is wierd but attractive. Characters Are the best.

Grandia 2 and 3 - Love the story - Turn based But amazing gameplay take a look for yourself.

Shadow Hearts - 1 2 and 3 - 1 and 2 are better main character changes in 3 - Battle system is interestin (turn-based) and very fun.

Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 - Yes they have disney characters but get over it These games run deep, the story will grip you and these games are beileve it or not challenging. ( Real time gameplay)

Star Ocean till the end of time - Woah this story is wierd. lol The real-time gameplay in this is definetly intense.

Atelier iris - Turn based , its fun but easy and its 2-D ( which i like :P)

Rogue galaxy - Lovely cel-shades , nice gameplay but can get tedious still enjoyed the game from start to finish.

Shin megami tensei series - wierd series have like a dark theme kinda nice games tho.

What could be said that hasn't been said already? All of the Final Fantasy games are worth playing, as are Kingdom Hearts and the .hack//GU series. Champions of Norath was good, and the X-Men Legends/Marvel Ultimate Alliance games are interesting as well, presuming that you're a Marvel fan. Of course, Shin Megami Tensei is a terrific series to play as well. Then you have Tales of the Abyss, Phantasy Star Universe, Shadow Hearts, Xenosaga, and Dragon Quest.

But seriously, there really are a lot of PS2 rpgs to choose from, lol. Chances are that you'll find at least one game interesting enough for you to play xD.
