Dragon Quest VIII

kingdom hearts I or II

some people don't like this game but for me it's good..^^

Suikoden V, Valkyrie Profile 2, Xenosaga, Shin Megami, Atelier Iris, Grandia, Wild Arms, Star Ocean 3 are all really good RPGs

Dragon Quest VIII is the way to go

well.. like ff is difficult..

in ps1 you can try legend of dragoon.. an awesome rpg game

chrono cross, grandia, legend of legaia, they all have a graphic more like an anime than ff series, but have also a good story

in ps2

xenosaga (1,2 and 3 - you should play in order)

persona 3 (have a bit different style than ff but is cool either)

grandia3, suikoden 5 and dragon quest 8 I played and liked. but still think that ff is better.. (matter of preference i think)

star ocean 3 i found it very good, but has more action than ff series (fighting you control the character)

and now i'm wanting to play valkyre profile 2 and wild arms

As for me, I love .Hack series, Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, Ar Tonelico, Grandia 3, Final Fantasy, Odin Sphere, Persona 3, Atelier Iris (really love this one), and Kingdom Heart (action) >Really recommend Kingdom Heart I & II

Tales of Legendia (mediocre though)

Suikoden V (Although I've noticed someone recommended III, its alright, but I thought it was lacking for a Suikoden title, but I only truly enjoyed three maybe four of the six that came)

Wild Arms 5 (I'm kinda playing through it now, although I hate this hex system deal its a freakin western! Who doesn't think cowboys are cool!)

Kingdom Hearts series (since you're a fan of FF)

Ar Tonelico

Atelier Iris

Suikoden Tactics (I'm listing it cuz I like strategy RPGs and it had a er, unique system about it I guess)

Star Ocean: Till the End of Time (very awesome! Especially if you're a fan of Sci-fi)

RPG Maker 3 (if you like trying to make your own game, but needs lots of memory space and lots of time on your hands and friends who won't mind playing a game you made up which is my reason for having it)

Hmm anybody feel free to quote me wrong on this choice if its not for PS2: MegamanX Command Mission (I personally thought for a Megaman X RPG it did well for most part, but I'm saying that cuz I'm a fan of Megaman, but its a pretty easy RPG)

Legend of Dragoon for PS1. the best ive ever played

None of you mentioned the Shin Megami Tensei Series, apart from Persona 3.
