I think what you're trying to do is add some cult classic games to your collection. If so then try your hand at games like Ico, Psychonauts & Killer 7. They're pretty hard to find though. Oh and Marvel vs Capcom 2. I love this fighting game but it's extremly rare now.

Some may also mention Katamari games but I'm not a fan myself.

I find Road Rash for the PS1 to be oddly addictive. If you can find it. :|

Colosseum: Road to freedom. I'm also messing around with Romancing Saga by squre enix. The saga series is pretty crappy most of the time but i really like their mechanics even though they dont work. Romancing Saga is actually turning into a nice slow paced standard rpg. It has a kind of high difficulty factor because monsters keep up with our progress and if you dont keep up with your equipment you can start getting the crap knocked out of you. I'll be writing a review for it in a few days or so but if I end up liking it I would call it under appreciated lol. I never see people talk about it.

Yu-gi-Oh Capsule Monster Colosseum is probably another under appreciated game. That game is awesome. You build a little game piece that represents your base, it has these different stats. Then you choose a starter pack of monsters who are all made up of 6 different attributes like wood or light or water. Each monster can gain experience which can grant it abilities to use in battle or change its stats. The really cool part is that battles take place over this grid based area. There are all kinds of attributes on the grid that if you stand on can make you stronger or weaker. Then you play your base and your monsters.

Once the battle starts you take turns with your opponent moving your monsters around the map and ake them fight. Your monsters are like chess pieces though. They have specific patterns that they have to follow when they move. Some can move straight up/down left/right, others can move diagonally, some have to skip sqaures. Basically any monster can be killed in two attacks so you have to be very strategic and try to get the first strikes in so you can kill monsters without geting hit back. As you fight people you can win cards and money. You can use the money to buy more cards, and build up a cool deck of monsters.

I could probably name some others like "Carnage Heart" from ps1 but I've probably rambled on long enough.

some of my favorites are ICO (which I guess isnt under appreciated anymore lol..), Timesplitters 2( I had a blast doing the challenges and it's fun if you have someone else to play it with...or even if you dont) , Beyond Good & Evil, Dark Cloud 2, Metal Arms: Glitch in the System, Escape From Monkey Island, Commandos 2, Indigo Prophecy. And a couple I still haven't played but have heard good things about are Valkyrie Profile 2 and Psi Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy. Or Suikoden 3 or Rogue Galaxy if you like RPGs. I dont know how underrated all of those are but theyre all ones that werent hugely popular that I liked or want...hehe PS2 has a lot of good games :)

Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil for myself. Personally, I think it's one of the most beautiful and creative PS2 games for the system. I love that game.

I always found survival horror games to be great fun. Try these ones, Obsucre might be hard to find, but Clock Tower 3 you can dig up USED at a gaming reatil store for a couple dollars. It's not worth buying new, lol! Both are pretty cool though. Even if you don't like them, you'll admit they are worthy of being in your collection for the unique idea.

Wow, you must have a lot of free time in your hands lol, I think Killzone and Judge Dredd: Dredd vs Death were way too underated. Suikoden V, I think should have gotten a little higher too

Indigo Prophecytommy7154

That game is bleeping AWESOME!!!

The story is great (and weird),the gameplay is innovative (atleast for a PS2 game) and it has many endings depending on how you did in the final battle (which is hard).

If you are going to look for it,remember that it also goes by the name "Fahrenheit" in some countrys...

I also recommend Obscure 1 and 2.Some people find it scary, but I didn't.Anyway, the story is great and the gameplay is fun.And you also play as 4 or so characters...and if one of these characters die,he will never come back.Yes,he/she will just die and you won't be able to play with until you restart the game over again.Which you should do,since the game features many endings.

I never put any of those games out of the PS2 until I got to finish them :P

Castlevania LoI and CoD. I thought they were better then their ratings and scores showed. Bloodrayne 1 and 2. Such gory and decapitating mindless fun. A true guilty pleasure.

My golden rule before buying a game: Read the different reviews of it, so that you don't get something you don't like. 8)
It's even better if you can rent or borrow before buying.
