My save copy from March 02, 2006 doesn't work with my newly purchased copy of San Andreas, what's the deal? Is there an earlier version of GTA:San Andreas that will work with my save copy? or You think it will be compatible with an AO version only?

I believe because of The Hot Coffee edit that maybe your save might not work.

You're exactly right, but do you think that it'll work with the GTA:SA AO version only?

You answered your own question. Original save files will not work with the re-released versions.

I don't think it has anything to do with the AO. I had borrowed my cousin's copy of GTA: SA after the whole hot coffee mess, and when I bought the game in the GTA 3-Pack, my save file was unreadable. I figured the second, coffee-less version and the package version would be exactly the same, but I guess not.

Looks like you've got to start a new game.Â
