I am not, but who ever is just die in fire
You know what? The game where I was closer to die in fire was Final Fantasy VII. The part in Midgar when Sephiroth has just escape and he's killing everyone in the tower. You go around the building and all you see are corpses laying down with a filthy trace of blood that leads you to...
The rest of the game is not so scary.:D
I've never been scared of any games or movies, normally it's just a shock that scares me for a sec and then I normally yell some profanity.
But the only games that REALLY scared the hell out of me when I was a kid was Star Wars: Shadow of the empire on the 64, those Wampa Stompas scared the **** out of me.

Ahh the advance on the Shinra HQ, but the motorcycle mini-game after it was awesome.
It's so easy to say, ah I never got scared, bleh.
I'll be honest, I had a few scares in a couple of games. I had scares fleeing for my life (ingame, doh). My weirdest example would have to be running away from the boulders or the bear in the Crash Bandicoot series.
Another example is that metal ring that pursues you in the end of Castlevania 3 (NES). Not scary per se, but sure puts you on your nerves.
I happen to have jumped a few times playing games. Some FPS games make me jump bad. In horror games, you can jump at times too. But again, the element of surprise only strikes on the first playthrough. It's kind of hard to be scared or jump if you play games with faqs...
Horrorwise, I don't think I'd be scared per se, but let's just say if I play a game, I'm alone at home, it rains, closest neighbors are a half mile from here, it's night, I'd feel uneasy. The conditions would be optimal for me to be a bit scared.
I'm not afraid, but sometimes I get scared... once playing RE2 I got jumped by a licker the control flew from my hands...
It was awesome... I like getting scared.. so I can kick the $&% of the bastard that did it...
I really did not get scared of the Resident Evil series. Though, Fatal Frame 3 was just to freaky. I use to get scared in that game easily and I get so scared of it that I don't even dare to touch it anymore (yeah, I gave it a try later on and I got scared again after 10 minutes) . One time, without knowing, I told my friend that I'll show him the game. He says no, but I force him and then he says yes. I was hoping he would get freaked out by something and he did. There was an ghost in an bedroom and my friend started to get interest in it, he said to go in and I did.
I had the "Camera" equipped and was on the first-person-view camera. I went into the room and no one was there, I looked back and it was straight into my face! I screamed so hard and my friend also. We almost had an heart attack. Damn...
EDIT: It wasn't actually a bedroom btw. It was an "Bedroom-Like" place. Curtains surrounding the bedroom with an small mattress(sp?) on the floor, and the ghost was sitting down reading an book.. or doing something which I don't remember.
Notable times when I jumped or was mildly scared.
1) In RE, when the dogs jumped out of the window it made me jump but heck I think it made everyone jump.
2) In Silent Hill, the mist just freaked me out but that went when I found out you get a radio telling you when enemies are approaching.
I think that they are the only 2 things in games that I can remember that scared me.
Silent Hill 1 for sure. Is fatal frame that scary? cuz if it is i might have to check it out.cramulusIT IS :o. And play it. Now :).
I don't have any past experience with survival horror games for the simple fact that they are pretty scary sometimes. I really want to purchase Resident Evil 4 and play it but have hesitated because I'm not into those type of games. KH-mixerX
Don't let that stop you from getting this game. It's less of a survival horror game than any of the other RE games out there.
And yes, horror games have scared me plenty of times during certain "shock" moments. I find it most effective when the game becomes completely silent.

Thanks for the encouragement.
