I say try Final fantasy X. The greatest RPG game ever made. Then try X-2. Then try XII.

Or if you want to try the old school ones, try Final Fantasy 8.

The one related to the Movie Advent children is Final Fantasy 7 on Playstation not Playsation 2.

If you want you could start with this one, the 7, it's the more classic. (I started with this one 10 years ago)

But you could download an emulator and play Final Fantasy 1.

But it is not important with which one you begin, since each game is not related. The story doesn't evolve from one FF to another, it's a complete different one, but it's always the same universe.

Start with the basics Final fantasy VII and then Final Fantasy VIII,IX,X,X-2,XII

And if you have a GBA,SNES,NES you should try buying Final Fantasy I,II,IV,V,VI (or in your PS or I and II on your PSP)

Final Fantasy tactics, A2, The lion war some people like and some don`t ( versions GBA,DS and PS)

Final Fantasy VII advent children after you finished Final Fantasy VII

Also if you liked so much Advent Children you Should buy Dirge of Cerberus or wait for Crisis Core

Final Fantasy III and Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings if you have a DS

The chocobo games i don't know i didn't play them
