Help Please- Your top 5 favorite story driven games

I'm looking forward to picking up a PS2 on black Friday at EB/GS, and I want to get the best story driven games, so I thought I'd turn to this community.

Could you share with my your top 5 or 10 story driven games (as opposed to say, your favorite action or racing games). My favorite PC games have been the Witcher, Thief 3, and Dark Messiah, all of which had very compelling story lines to back up good gameplay. On the Wii, I am playing Killer 7- chiefly because the story is compelling me to figure out what the hell is going on :)

Not sure how easy they'd be to find, but Silent Hill 2, Suikoden V, Metal Gear Solid 3, Farenheit (Indigo Prophecy) and Star Ocean: Til the End of Time.

Some of my favorite stories......

• Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence - Amazing story, and the definitive version of this game.
• God of War - Despite the concentration on the amazing beat-em-up gameplay, the story is actually pretty good.
• Resident Evil 4 - Another game who's great gameplay fits perfectly with an engaging storyline.
• Silent Hill 2 - An amazingly creepy game with an even better story.
• Okami - One of the best games I've ever played paired with an amazing story centered around Japanese mythology.

Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2 both have good story and a blast to play

Tales of the Abyss great game and good story

hmmm.. here are 3 games with good stories..

• Indigo Prophecy
• Shadow of Destiny
• Yakuza

i can think of quite afew decent story driven games on the PS2. Some of my favorites include

Metal Gear Solid (any)

God of War

Resident Evil 4

Indigo Prophecy

Manhunt (1st title only, the second is ok at best but the story falls way short of the originals coolness)

in my opinion you should get Deus EX for the ps2. that is, if you can find it. it should be at EB/GS. its one of the best story driven games i have ever played. you get to make your own path in this video game. all of the characters in this dark and compelling world make you feel like your apart of something, it doesn't have the best controls. but this is a game that has good replay value to the bitterend. give the game a chance, and you will be rewarded with a exciting and unique experience unlike any game you've played before. oh and i supose psychonauts works.
