I am very tempted to pick up a 360 for 300$, I want a ps3 though but its 100 more =( and I've played halo 1 and 2, so want to play 3, 360 gots some good games coming out, =( I am so torn between these 2 damn a 360 for about 300 or a Ps3 yet to have any good games out yet for 400, sigh.
There is a simple answer to this question:
If this item did not have the words SONY or PLAYSTATION on it, would you spend 400 dollars for it?
Think about what it actually is as a computer system, and what software is actually available for it. As though it were from Dell. Would you throw down 400 dollars for it?
Personally I would laugh at someone who tried to sell me a computer with no included display, that has no function, except to play games that practically don't exsist yet, for 400 dollars. Especially with a pitiful little 40 gig hard drive. You guys know you can get a 250 gig HD for like 80 bucks right now, right?
That's just my opinion anyhow. Long live PS2.
I'm still debating between that or a Elite , the great reason for the 360 is the online community plus everyone has a 360 :roll:RandomLoler
I dont have a 360, or a wii, or a PS3 or anything next-gen, the mostt next gen thing i have is a PSP, and to tell you the truth i cant afford any next gen stuff soooooo.......well, im still happy with my old-school ps1..........
I'll worry about it after MGS4 gets released... Maybe MGS4 will be released as a PS3 bundle with a DuelShock 3 controller at a better price than they are now.
I'm leery of the backwards compatibility software included with the 40 GB...I hear that it doesn't run as many PS2 games smoothly as the 60 GB one (which apparently has the best backwards compatibility of the PS3 models so far).
Feel free to enlighten me if I'm misinformed about this, but it makes me want to buy a 60 GB one a lot more than a 40 or 80 GB one.
