Not this again.

You can put a skin on it. I've seen one with a DMC3's skin. looks very cool.

Not sure about what you meant by painting it or how hard it is to paint it coz its black?

:P

Take it apart, spray paint the casing? Major problem would be if the casing isn't totally separable from the rest of the innards...if it isn't, I dunno, just be damn careful? heh

ok... first you take it apart and take out the guts and shil. next you spray it white so that it doesn't come out crappy. let that coat dry and then put a coat of what ever color you want on there. (I recommend red though) viola! i'm not sure if the mini ps2 guts come out though. i know the big ps2 guts come out

Sounds like too much work just to change the color of your console. Is it really that important? Get a skin if you must, but painting sounds like a waste.

to the topic creator... i'd suggest using an acrylic primer, and acrylic paints. they are very durable, and should resist any flaking. to ensure that normal wear won't remove any paint-job, follow up the painting with a clear coat acrylic top-coat. as for brnand, i suggest ceramcoat all the way. they're excellent paints (when i was younger i used them to paint warhammer 40K miniatures, both plastic and pewter). and the price point doesn't hurt either. if you want to paint it a solid color, use a good quality spraypaint, but prime it white first, as mentioned by someone above. and make sure you take it apart first, that way you won't end up spraying paint into any electrical connections. if you are going for a full custom design on your ps2, post pics when you're done. i've done artwork for many of my friends' skateboard decks in the past, i'd like to see what you come up with...
