In FF12, has anyone taken up the Fafnir hunt? You know, the one where he only comes out in some big ass blizzard and has over 1,000,000 hp? Anyways, how do you get him to appear? Blizzards never happen for me, at least not in the correct area

If you play the game as far as getting the strahl (balthier's toy) you can visit anywhere at anytime, its just a matter of visiting during a storm, took me about 20 mins to get the right conditions, be wary he's a tad difficult, one of the most aggressive ememies in the game...

there is no way in hell he can be harder than Gilgamesh's second form at Level 70...it took me like about 2 hours to beat him...it was hard...i mean really hard...and i had protect haste shell and bubble on all my charcaters the whole time...and i had Reddas with me as a guest...and it was still very difficult...

I'm sorry, but you guys are n00bs (No offense, because everyone needs help at some point).  But here is your help. :)

Travel to Mt. Bur-Omisace and speak to the veira Relj to learn that leeha is missing.  The mark, which is roaming the Paramina Rift, only appears on the west side of Silverflows End during blizzards.  Keep checking back in this area until snow starts coming down hard.

This will probably be the toughest hunt yet, so be careful.

The mark uses some hard hitting status attacks.  Equip a power armlet on at least one character to negate the Stop effect from Fafnir's white breath, and bring plenty of Chronos Tears and Echo Herbs with you to this fight.  The Bubble spell and Bubble Belt accessory are must needs for this fight..  Fafnir normally hits for a couple of thousand HP and will start using Shock to hit a Decoyed character for 6000-7000HP once it gets below half-health.  Keep the party spaced out as much as possible to limit the number to party members affected by Silencega and minimize the damage caused by Fafnir's thunder attacks.  It's best to have one character focus on melee with Decoy while the other two characters stand back and serve as support characters.

Hope this helps you guys. :)

I barely remember anything about fafnir, but hey! I still remember gilgamesh. He isn't that difficult actually. He's alot easier than some other high level hunt. What I did was use remedy (while using the accessory which reverse effects of items) on enkidu. He'll be asleep, sapped, poisoned, etc after that. Then all u need to do is kick gilgamesh's pimp ass =P.

Well actually all of you are Noobs, but still no offense but Fafnir his stronger than Gilgamesh and one of you who said that the others are Noobs is actually correct in how to find Fafnir but he is not a HARD HUNT.

Well here's the Top Hardest Hunts in the Game :

1. Yiazmat - 50,000,000 HP

2. Behemoth King - 1,640,000 HP

3. Shadowseer - 200k + Hp + 4 Other bosses

4. Fafnir - 1m+ HP

5. Gilgameh - 1st 100K + HP, 2nd 300 - 500K HP w/ Endiku per Gilgamesh

6. Pylraster - 100k+ HP but super high damage

7. Ixion - 300K+ HP

8. Deathgaze - 200k+ HP
