I am havbing problems figuring out which game I should buy.. Some pros that I like for Tekken is the beautiful graphics, cutscenes and arenas. The pros for soul calibur is the weapons and the create a character and i believe that their characters are more unique sue to the different weapon styles..

I have smackdown vs raw 2006 its a wrestling gamebut i think its similar to tekken since its hand to hand combat.. However lots of people who reviewed the game, and critics say that tekken 5 is better.

any help

I think in the long run Soul Calibur 3 is better. I've played hours on end with my friends in that game...just like the old ones, with new features...lots and lots of new features. Tekken is pretty much the same thing through the whole game, So I get bored more quickly with it..thats just my opinion.

Honestly, it depends on if you have anyone to play with. I think the single player content is much more fulfilling in soul calibur 3, but the multiplayer got old for me really fast =/. Tekken 5 is in my opinion the best fighting game ever, but the arcade mode gets kind of repetitive. Either way, your in for some fun though :D

soul calibur is a poor mess, ppl will allways disagree but for me the crouch/ jump thing didn't work, certain characters are just dominating while othersrs are crap and it has no forseeable future
whereas tekken has an unmatchable and tweaked since t4 movement system, brilliant enviroments, lovable characters and a bright future with DR out and t6 on the way.. not to mention this instead of having a perthetic "character create" where you have the options of creating a complete tool or.. well, a complete tool in tekken a character can be given brilliant themes accross 2 costumes. Not only this in SCthe wepons arnt worth it because they have unclear propoties like "defence breaker" which does nothing, probably adds 1 frame to the guard animation to sommet lame like that. Theres nothing like practicing with 1 tekkencharacter then unleashing it fully coustomised into arcade and rank up. And all that character experience? you can take it to the next gen when u'r ready whereas the SC series has plans with the *laugh* Wii (i'm NOT trolling, i just can't imagine a fighter on the Wii)

All matter of opinion of course but.... Tekken would be my least favorite fighting game franchise. Nothing moves or feels right in that game.

Soul Calibur is a much better fighting franchise but..... Soul Calibur 2 was a better game then Soul Calibur 3 in my opinion.

I really enjoyed weapon master mode in 2.... also being able to play as a guest character was pretty cool, (Spawn rocks) Any way Soul Calibur 3 had this really bad RTS mode that was hampered even more by ridiculosly long loading times.

i'd say u find nothing feels right coz of the fact certain characters are just for veriety (ike kuma and Roger jr.)
i find Hwoarang and Jin are exellent characters, with Baek thrown in for good measure

Well, if you decide to get Tekken 5, and I hope this doesn't come under some rule about no advertising, I'm sorry if it does, I'm selling it quite cheap on Amazon.co.uk

Soul Calibur 3! Its my favorite fighter! I am sad you cant chooe body types when making your own character like ASteroth/Rock or some tiny character like Talim/Tara but the rest of the create a character is awesome. They have some generic weapon types that none of the story chracters have which is cool. And I love the secondary story mode game. Soul Calibur to me is fast and fluid and the parry/block system rules. There are tons of moves which means you can mess up our opponents rythym quite nicely.

Tekken I've never had the chance to have a ton of battlesagainst live people with. But I find the controls clunky and does it even have other modes besides ****c arcade **** I know one of them had a really craptacular beat-em up type minigame. I dont like the character either and their stories. Lame!!.

Soul Calibur 3 makes me wish you could watch instant replays of entire matches because its so freaking beautiful. Have you seen the freaking amazing graphics of Soul Calibur 4? Im gonna cry for a week when that game comes out and I cant play it.

DBZ and mortal Kombat are the only other fighters I play. MK sucks as a fighter but i love the stories and history and other modes they put in their games.

First of all, dont compare Tekken to a crappy wrestling game( call me a fanboy if u wish but SVR franchise sucks)

Second of all the CAC system in Sounl Calibur 3 sucks, so dont get it for that aspect alone.

Third of all if you are a fighting fan you need both of the games and also Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution

Forth of all if you can only get one for with tekken 5, it is more complex and has more moves per character. Then again SC3 is a fenomenal game with great characters and visuals, so do yourself a favor and get all the 3 games i have previously mentioned.

Blades which fighting game has the best CAC? _AbBaNdOn

Well not counting Wrestling as actual fighting, I would have to say MK: Armageddon. The CAC was great, but the other aspects of the game were dissapointing.

Hmmm. I really love MK:A's cac because it lets you make your own combo's and moves.... On the other hand..it doesnt have a very good array of visual options and it is missing a ton of special moves AND your custom fighter cant even perform some of the fatties.

I think SC3's cac has a very good visual editor, but you cant edit size, you have to choose an entire weapon type instead of creating your own moves...

Pfff I choose Sc3's cac because the characters you make have more modes that include them. The little story mode and vs.

In my opinion Soul Calibur 3 is better than Tekken 5. Why? ...Well, read below.

Through means of character modification, in Soul Calibur 3 You can finally recolour the fighters into better looking colours that you prefer. Though Tekken has a whole thing where you can buy items to put on the fighters (but in my opinion it looks awkward for some of them). But then again...Soul Calibur 3 allows you to create your own whole new character, as well buy a large amount of clothing and weaponry for them. So I think Soul Calibur 3 wins in the presepective.

When it comes down to single-player mode, Tekken is fairly story lacking and repetitive. Soul Calibur 3 on the other hand is far more fullfilling, as you get to choose multiple choices while in story mode to direct your character. As well a few additional can pop up while in story mode. Not to mention while cut-scenes also have multiple choices that can be chosen through a button-combination that'll pop up at the corner of the screen. So it won't be as repetitive (this ability also works for the ending cut-scene, therefore there is more than one ending).

Now when it comes down to multiplayer, I think both are fairly equal. Now I'm not counting Devil Mode or...that Soul Calibur mode (forgot it's name) where you guide different fighters around in a strategic manner taking the castles, I think both are fairly equal. Just the basic friend vs. friend kind of thing, and the fairly entertaining "team mode". As far as my memory goes of course.

The additional of the games is far more in Soul Calibur 3 than Tekken. Soul Calibur 3 you get different weaponry, you get a "Tournament" mode which you choose whether you will participate in a "League" ****mode, or "Tournament" **** Then there is a mode where you have to strategically move character's of your design around to take the enemy's castles while protecting your own from enemy generals. In which you can either have your character meet them and fight them on the "map mode" (as I call it) or ****cally fight them (the basic fighting way). Then there's still more from this. Tekken however basically has something called "Devil Mode" which features Jin simply running around attacking multiple look-a-like Halo-wannabe soldiers and solving minor puzzles to progress.

So in my opinion: You should buy Soul Calibur 3.

Soul Calibur 3 seemed disappointing to me compared to Soul Calibur 2. I'd get Soul Calibur 2 over both Soul Calibur 3 and Tekken 5.
