I was just wondering because I've always liked sukidon, and I've only played the begining of it and it seems fun. Also I like Final Fantasy Tatics alot. But it seems way different. Is it a good or bad game?

its awesome but STOP and take the time to learn how you can permanently get people killed!!!!. Have you tried Front Mission4, Disgaea 1-2, Makai Kingdom, Phantom Brave?? They are awesome tactical rpg's. Soul Nomad sucks though stay away from that one.

LOL I remember having this discussion with you way back about characters getting permanently killed. For the sake of others new to the argument I will repeat, there are other games that do this. When you think of it, as annoying as it gets, it means you have a vested interest in beating the battle without losses, making it more tactical and occasionally frustrating at times.

I have taken it upon myself to prove this.

Gladius, generic characters are gone if they die in random encounters (source GameFaqs FAQ)

Tactics Ogre, unless revived in battle, gone for good (yet another FAQ)

Final Fantasy Tactics, similar to above though much less stringent (bless GameFaqs)

Suikoden Tactics, you know all about that one :)

Admittedly out of the majority of PS1/2 SRPG it is quite rare to see this. Repeating a battle because my favorite character died is a pain in the ass which I shouldnt have to go through. I have no qualms about losing fodder troops though again after levelling one up considerably, would you want that to happen?

They are similar in a vague sense being SRPG. There is much mroe emphasis on elementals in ST from what I have experienced. I cant claim to have played the death out of it, only a few battles and got sidetracked, should get backt o it soon.

Suikoden Tactics is pretty good. As to the permenantly dying characters, if one dies, just purposley get all your other characters beaten and the battle will start over with all characters revived and all experience gained from the previous battle still there. Tedious at times, but helpful.

You can also add HOSHIGAMI for the PS to your list Mohmaatay. Allies also perish in battle if defeated under enemies hand. I was never to fond of this, I would not like to repeat long tedious battles in order to keep an ally Ive been developing for a long time frame. Reviving should be an option most definitely.

I read about it in IGN's review and they say it's a must for new comers to Tactical RPGS....
