I want a RPG for my PS2, but I dont know what to get. Can anyone help?

I want a RPG with a really good fighting system. I doesnt matter if its real time or turned based either.

I really liked FFVII's system and I already have FFX. I also want a RPG that doesnt have a horrible, generic story line.

Can I get any recommendations?

FFXII, shadow hearts covenant, kingdom hearts, suikoden v...

I really liked the battle system to Star Ocean: Till the End of Time.

But if I had to recomend something, it would be:

I havnt played any of the other Suikodens. Wouldnt I be lost? Or is not a direct sequal? Like the Final Fantasy series.

Persona 3 by far... great story, very unique, it has a fighting system similar totheFF series,and overall very fun to play.

Its story is really cool, and just sucks you in. The charicters are all interesting and easy to like, and the fact it doesn't take place in some fantasy relm, or the past... but now, also makes it very unique.

Plus it did get RPG of the year, beating out hard competition like Mass Effect, and The Witcher.

That is a great choice and you can get it for $20. The characters are hilarious and the world is huge! Tons of customizing and item creation. I did find it hard to make money though. The game is a challenge too, although it was not impossible.

Other than that, I agree with the other choices here: FF XII, Shadow Hearts 1 and 2, and don't forget the Xenosaga series. That trilogy was excellent.
