final fantasy 12 isn't all that great

if you like RPGs i would recommend Tales of the Abyss

killzone, Lord of the Rings: the third age (favorite rpg ever), god of war, and if you realy want final fantasy get the 10th one.

those are my favorite games for the PS2.

FF12is a great game. Granted it may be a little different from past versions but the game itself is amazing. Whould highly recommend getting the game.

Final Fantasy XII is a great game....Metal Gear Solid 3 is also a good choice.

What kind of games do you like? I'm currently playing Odin Sphere and haven't opened Perona 3 yet until I beat Odin. Soul Calibur 3 is still good imho. PS2 has the baddest library around....there's too many to list here!

You should get Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence. You won't regret it.

I think it would be better just to get a PS3 if you are willing to spend that much

but guitar hero 2 is a great game, DMC 3, FFX

Metal Gear Solid 3 is one of the greastest games ofall time, definitly get it. GTA Vice City or SanAndreas, FF10, Shadow of the Collossus, God of War ,Rathcet and Clank: Going Commando just to name a few.

Get it with Resident Evil 4 or God of War I & II, but if your a RPG fan then you should go with Final Fantasy X or Kingdom Hearts I & II.
