Hey guys, anyone play ICO with ps2 component cables (HDTV) and have issues? Mine dosn't work right at all. It like splits the picture in half, and looks glitchy.

No other game I own has this issue. Is there a known problem with certain games and componet cables? Thank for any help or suggestions.

Haven't heard of any problem before... Just switch back to your basic cables for ICO. That should fix the problem... even though it kinda sucks to have to do that in the first place!

I actually do, though i don't think that will make a differecne. I use the Gamestop version of the cables, and my friend has the Sony version of them. I'll try soon.

The game works via composite, which is ok since the game isn't progressive scan, but I'd like to keep them in one input.

I'll try to post a picture. Anyone else have problems with component cables and ICO? (or any other game?)

I've played ICO using component cables on my 40" HDTV. The picture isn't split in half or anything, but it still looks crappier than when I played it on my old 25" SDTV.

Its your display that is having trouble with ICOs graphic resolution of 240 progressive.

Some HDTVs can not display componant 240P.

Its the only title on PS2 that uses this resolution as ICO was originally intended to be a Playstation One game.

If the screen is split in half and glitchy looking (i'm assuming that you see double screens) it has something to do with your progressive scan, possibly built into the TV, unless you are running the component cables through another component.
