Ok. I bought Ico the other day and it's nothing like I thought it would be.

Every room you go in is a god damn mystery. I spend over an hour getting out of one section to walk into the next room and become baffled once again about what I have to do.

Is it like this for everyone or am I just an idiot? Maybe I should play with a walkthrough?

Shadow of the Colossus is much better.

Getting lost in ICO is the whole of the game. You stuck, imprisoned in this place where it suppose to be misleading. Don't worry, your not the only one with such experience. I was like that the first time I play the game.

Try to avoid the faqs because it would ruin the game. There's nothing like working out the puzzle yourself, using nothing but your brain.

True. I didn't use a FAQ for any part of Twilight Princess and I enjoyed it more because of that. It's more satisfying solving the puzzle by yourself.

Well... the puzzle in ICO isn't that hard. They can be misleading, just keep it simple.

I didn't use a guide either for Ico and i never had a problem with it. Pretty much just try to get to where you havn't been, its pretty easy. The one thing about Ico though is sometimes it isn't obvious what you need to do to advance. Keep in ming that if your stuck you probably need to look for something to push/pull or a switch. I sort of got into a flow with this game to the point where when it was over I didn't think I was done until the credits were rolling, I was like "Is this it? This can't be it. Are these credits for real? I guess thats it.Huh..."

ahh, yes, welcome to the greatest environmental puzzle game around.

The puzzles aren't really that hard. What is hard is remembering what you have to do next. But, there is nothing greater then completing the whole game yourself with just your brain. The whole feeling of being trapped and not knowg what to do was one of the reasons why this was one of THE BEST games for the ps2.

Also, if you are stuck, the girl (i forgot her name, sorry) will be very helpful and point to whatever it is you need to use. So, if you dont knowwhat to do, just keep her in sight and she will help her in her special way.

You know what, I was in the same situation as you, in that one area with the windmill it took me a while before I realized that you can grab onto the fans. You have to try and experiment different possible outcomes to solve a particular puzzle.

Ico teaches one to problem slove (who says video games don't teach kids anything). Look at everything, try everything, but more importantly, don't give up! And have fun.

I thought the puzzles were pretty obvious most of the time, the only confusing part was the waterfall area, because it's complicated to have Yorda around. And some of the timing puzzles can be somewhat frustrating like the waterwheels at the waterfall and below the castle (below the castle is especially frustrating if you fall all the way down and have to get up again). Still, you just make me wanna play ICO again, darn
