None of the Grandia games are really bad, they just have a unique battle system

I heard the game is really short, is that true?

I loved the first 2, but I don't think 3 was even released in Europe.

Grandia III is worse than Grandia and Grandia II, but it's still an ok game. I didn't like the soundtrack, the story, or the characters, but the battle system was still a lot of fun. You can probably find it somewhere it cheap, so it might be worth the money. Just don't expect a game on the same level as a Final Fantasy game.

Again like was mentioned above, pop the disc in and give it an hour or two, I do like the entire Grandia series but only you can really decide what you like and dont like.

Who knows, it's probably the same general quality as the other 3 ("Extreme" included), including the cool battle system. Grandia 2 granted me lots of fun, especially against bosses.

I never played the earlier Grandia games but I agree with what you said, almost everything is not all that good but the battle system alone is enough to make this a fun game.

Yes it is worth playing as well as buying. It is a very underrated game. Is it perfect? No. Storywise you'll likely get the feeling that you have played it before. The playable characters are developed pretty well, the villians on the other hand aren't developed well at all. But overall it is a good game and you won't regret playing it.
