Is it Just Me, or is Kingdom Hearts 2...

The first game was dear to my heart. I loved the combat, characters, and the story. Kingdom Hearts 2 felt like watching a crappy Disney sequel. I could list my problems within the game if anyone wants to hear them.

Ok......... You're the first person to say anything bad about the game, and that's just sad. Either way, I loved both 1 and 2 and nothing's going to change that. Remember, it always depends on the individual person and what they like. So to answer your question directly, it's just you.SPD_WeBmAsTaH

check my review its more than an year old. The game sucked imo, the only good thing was that the combat looked flashy

KH2 wasn't a bad game, in fact it's a very good game. But it didn't have the kind of awe that you got from the first KH.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. Kingdom Hearts is one of my three or four favorite games for PS2, whereas KHII is one of the rare games I stopped playing without seeing it all the way through. I do plan on giving it another chance and finishing it off someday because if a KH3 ever comes out I will want to play it, but I played through a big chunk of it and was more let down by it than any game I've played in the past five years, save for maybe Jade Empire.

KHII is a very good game but it's not perfect and I could agree on that... I really liked the gameplay improvements as it felt a bit more dinamic with the counterattacks prompt, and felt a bit less hack and slash, at least IMHO.

Story was also great and introduced cool characters to the franquise. Sadly they are gone now, unless they release more prequels (points out DS/PSP/cell phones)

The weakest link was the world selection, some of them (like Atlantica) felt just pointless and dividing each world in several mini-parts was a not so good idea, IMHO.

Nevertheless KHII is a game I would recomend any day.

Me too. KH2 was everything I expected out of a sequel and much more. I couldn't believe how awesome this game was when I first played it. I can't find one flaw in that game at all. Of course your entitled to your opinion though. It makes me sad when I hear people say they didn't enjoy KH2 as much as KH1. I think everyone should experience this series. Oh well, I guess you can't please everyone.
