I have £20 spare, so I've decided to purchase a game or two. I'm interested in the game Mercenaries but wanted opinions on if it would be worth a purchase, for £7. (I want to make sure I have made the right decision in purchasing it, as not to waste any money). Thanks.
No it's not worth it. Mercenaries was fun for about the first hour or two, but after that all the pretty explosions just couldn't conceal the fact that the game has no soul.
Do Yourself a favor and DONT BUY that game. like that guy jus said its fun for just like the first two hours then it gets really old really quick....This game is soulless and BORING AS HELL ....music SUCKSSSS listen man I bought this game and after about 3 hours of playing i wanted to kick myself in the teeth. It literaly hurt my pocket. I felt like such a sukkaa ass for buying this abomination of a game...

LISTEN IF I fINd out you went ahead and bought the game im going to fly over there wherever it is you live. im bringing my copy if the game then im gonna smack you upside the head with it then im taking your copy to the store and demand they replace it for another game . then ill tie you down to a chair while you complete the other game all the time ill smack you with my copy of mercenaries every few minutes.......LOL just kidding
but just dont buy that game it reallly reallly sucks ......

black has great graphics but its short and its a regular shooter
mercenaries is fun if u like blowing stuff up as most buildings can be destroyed
Maybe if it ever comes to the PC, but most games like that on the PS2 just don't turn out well. Shoot, the difference between the PC versions of GTA: SA made the game actually playable.
i found mercenaries to be a highly lacking games the story, gameplay, mechanics and fun factor are just lacking the settings are plain and boring as well only get it if you want to truly mindlessly blow up stuff

Between Mercenaries and Black, I say Mercenaries is better. I would agree that Mercenaries has little personality, but it's a very enjoyable game and it's fun for more then just 2 hours.
I don't understand why people only had fun with Mercenaries for 2 hours. Maybe if you actually do the missions you'd have a much more enjoyable time with that game.
