i don't know... bought it when it came out so haven't ever needed to look for it... have you tried looking online for it? and do you care if its used? might be hard to find a new copy...
I got my copy around when it came out as well. I checked Amazon and Half.com and new copies go for $55 and up, used for $24 to $40 Since the Subsistence version of MGS3 started at a price of $30 (I think) these prices are a sign of rarity.
I looked for MGS 2 : Substance for months and just got a copy a month ago at pawn. I scored Subsistance on release and if it follows the pattern set by Substance, it will be near impossible to find in no time. I see the Snake Eater version quite a bit, but never the Subsistence version. Get it if you can, cause I'm thinking it is already a rarity.
I have seen it at Gamestop a couple different times for $30 new. I do think it's fairly hard to come by, though. I think I've just been lucky enough to see it a couple different times.
Preorder Metal Gear Solid Essential Collection its coming out in March and it's suppose to have MGS1, MGS2: Substance, and MGS3: Subsistance and it's suppose to cost $29.99...

i've been searching for it since christmas and when i finally gave up i found a copy brand new for 30 euros...that was lucky because i don't think i could find it otherwise...unless i kept trying online...which i did for a long time with no result
