Never played one but i saw the collection 2-3-4 going quite cheap and was tempted. i thought as i know nothing about it i would check some reviews but they didn't get the best reviews ive ever seen so should i buy it?
Personally if you asked me Is Silent Hill any good? I'd say no.
It's fantastic, if you see the collection cheap go for it, if you like survival horrors RE, Fatal Frame, Siren etc Silent Hill is one of the best in the series IMO. The storyline is really good and quite haunting. The characters/monsters are frighfully weird, and the atmosphere of the game is second to none.
Silent Hill 1 is definitely worth playing. I missed my change to buy it for $20 or less and now it's only available for $40. I hope Konami released a PS Store or PSP version soon so the value will drop again.
Silent Hill 2 also gets my vote; It was an amazing follow-up to the first. Silent Hill 3 and 4 aren't really worth the time. Go with 1 and 2 and you won't be disappointed.
thanks ill go buy it, guy at the shop is holding it for me. its got 2-3-4 in it and its quite rare in the uk, hopefully il get silent hill 1 off ebay and maybe play it first, 3 games for the price of one can't be bad.
Some of my best gaming memories come from the Silent Hill series, it's defiantly worth picking up, it much more deep than just pure horror what people seem to forget.
I've only beaten the first one, but own them all. That's because the first one kicked so much ass! It's absolutely fu**ing creepy. You have to play the first one before starting the others.
