Hey , I used to have a ps2 (which broke) and my 360 just broke yesterday, so I'm kinda out of luck right now. I love playstation games and was considering buying the old ps2 for 40$ from Ebgames. I geuss right now I'm just sick of all the current gen stuff and wish that we could have stayed with the old systems. Anyways, how is the online for the system going right now? Any new game releases? If not, what are some definate games to get? (I'm geussing God of war, Socom, Grand theft auto). I already have a memory card and controllers, and a network adapter from my old ps2. Any help would be appreciated :)
YEEESSS!!! PS2 is the best console system ever, IMO, and you would probably agree if you buy a PS2 and play all the great RPGs. If you don't like RPGs, then.. well... I couldn't recommend a PS2 to you since most other games will be playable on the PC (and I don't mean they're being ported.)

Rpg's aren't my favourite genre ever but I still play them, other than that I still believe there are plenty of other games to play, MGS:3 is epic, GoW1 and 2, Socom series, Killzone, Ratchet and Clank (which I missed out on) and many more. And I just remembered, I have a ps2 at my dad's house ;)
u should diffenly get it, its so worth it but yeah if u have an extra one then thats better atleast u wont be buying one used..a used ps2 could almost be dead or something

Your right in some ways, I personally have been threw all that, I'm just saying, I don't want to emulate ps2 games. I like emulation but not for the newer consoles ( ps2 is still considered somewhat new) GS mods, please don't lock or ban me for that :)
yah man, online might not be as popular anymore because of the next-gen consoles but the ps2 has a plethora of awesome games, and if you havent played them then you have to experience them right now man!!

I'm actually not going to buy one, I forgot my dad had a second one (Parents are divorced) so when I go there tonight I'm going to get it.
