Ive never played so many bad rpgs in a row :(

This week I played:

Ar tonelico(I loved it and its one of my most favorite games now)

Grandia 3(The battles are fun but I quit after being 1/2 trough disc 2 because the plot sucked)

Shin megami tensei:devil summonner(Combat got really repetive and the story sucked)

Radiata stories(The plot is horrible and the mission thing is boring)

Im planning on starting with the shadow hearts series and the atelier iris series

Do they have good stories?

Yeah those are all average rpgs though Grandia's Battle system is one of the best out there. Radiata Stories was boring, just like Star Ocean (another tri-ace game). Heard Atelier Iris is average also.

Shadow Hearts is pretty dated in terms of graphics and level layouts; it's very linear. but the characters help differentiate it from other jrpgs.

Ar tonelico had a lot of potential it's still a good rpg though...Grandia 1 will always be the best in my eyes and shin megami tensei is actually pretty good i have to disagree with most of what you said but your intitled to your opion:)

If your looking to try atelier iris they're not bad and they're playable but they're not masterpeices, but give them a play through anyway. try the first two i haven't played the third so i'm not sure about that one

what u say all the rpg you played in your list was great just for the ac telinoca crap, well maybe its just me but radiata shimegame and all your list was a great game for me... ok i give you a play list

start with FFX then FFXII then go dragon quest 8 pop in Rouge galaxy after that get high with Front mission 4

Radiata was excellent, funny, and underappreciated.

Also, all of the RPGs you listed there aren't actually bad in any way, excluding the grindfest in disc 2 that was Grandia 3. They're all good, perhaps not the best, but still solid. You need to play 30-50 more RPGs if you think any of those are actually bad. Ar Tonelico was perhaps the most average and standard by the book RPG of all of the ones you listed, with nothing spectacular or different about it. Funny how you enjoyed it the most. >.>

got bored with ar tonelico.. i mean wth is that diving thingy..

grandia 3 has a nice battle system.. havent gotten that far in the game to know much abt the story. havent played devil summoner.. played nocturne though.. its pretty good.

radiata stories.. i agree.. bleh at the combat system.

shadow hearts series is good. wacky characters.
