Im picking up god of war tomorrow. anything else i should get while im there?

Do NOT get FFX-2 it's one of the few games worse than GOW.

Anything besides God of War. It's probably just me, but I found it to be annoyingly difficult on the normal level - not challengingly difficult - ANNOYING. Get Devil May Cry if you want a good action game, anything but GOW - it should never have been made.ringbling

yeah i have beat ffx and ffx-2. any other good rpgs besides ff 12?

i agree with you there. but the story is so revolting.

why do so many people not like this game? it had a pretty good storyline, the characters were great, and the battle system is only rivaled by that of FFXII.

if you like adventure games i would recommend Prince of Persia ( any of the three availiable) and shadow of colossus. For action Devil May Cry games (except 2) andfor an RPG game Final Fantasy X or XII. Then if you like racing there is Gran Turismo 4 for simulation gaming and burnout /neeed for speed for arcade. You have many option and countless games to purchase...

FF X-2 is a chick game. As a male gamer I found myself almost totally unable to relate to the characters, which distanced me from them and kept me from being interested or engaged with the story. Practically every other guy gamer I know that tried FF X-2 experienced the same thing and that is why they dislike it. Every girl gamer I know on the other hand loves FF X-2 with a passion.

Anyway, back on topic.

Zone of the Enders (if you want some fast paced giant robot action)

Timesplitters 1,2,3 (for a fun quirky shooter)

007 Nightfire

Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life Special Edition (fun farm sim. It's different)

Prince of Persia series (best action/platform/puzzler period)

Namco 50th anniversary collection

Gran Turismo 4

Ace Combat series

Okami (no excuses, GET THIS GAME IT IS AMAZING!!!)

Yea, I know I left out the big major titles like FF, DMC, Onimusha and others, but I left em out because they are what everyone recommends so I figured I would let others do it since they will anyway, and there is a lot more to PS2 than those titles that readily come to everyones mind.

If you want online games....

Socom 2, 3, or CA.

2 is the best

3 mainly for gltiches

4 for little bit more maps *same as 3, but you can't do glitches on CA*
