Kingdom Hearts 1 or 2?

I got both and they are both great but... kingdom hearts 2 is more advance, better graphics, and pretty much better overall gameplay. But kingdom hearts1 has a way better story line and made me want to go back to it often. I guess I like the first better because its not so complicated. But if you want better gameplay and don't mind a pretty good but not perfect story, and don't mind the second being more complicated go for number2 but if you hate the things I just listed go for 1

Kingdom hearts is a game you should not play out of order since the storyline carriers over.

yes i agree they are both great! KH is simple but a great game but then KH 2 is a bit more complicated with the intro of the react comand,forms, limits, ect. also KH 2+(final mix) is supposed to be good and i guess its coming out soon. both are great games and are well worth the money.

yes they should be played in order and if you will take the extra step you may want to purchase Chain of Memories for the gba

Get both, the first one is really cheap so it won't even dent your money pocket.

I'd also pick up Blood Will Tell: Tezuka Osamu's Dororo, all of the Ratchet and Clank games, Beyond Good and Evil, Marc Ecko's Getting up: Contents Under Pressure, Dead to Rights II, both Max Payne games and both Brother's in Arms games.

I have only played Kingdom Hearts I, haven't started the second one yet. It's an awesome game, shouldn't take too long to complete. and is cheap. So hell yeah pick it up.

imo kh2 totally beats kh1 in every aspect. altho i find kh 1 bosses more fun like that desert mech, took me forever to get that guy on his knees :)

both kh are good however i felt that kh2 was a huge improvment over 1 however the game is very "story-heavy" so u may wanna play bothjezz555

Kingdom Hearts II was crap compared to Kingdom Hearts 1. Honestly, the first game had a better story, better gameplay (except for the camera...) and better worlds. Also, the first game actually was challenging, unlike the second. Not saying KHII is horrible, it just isn't as good as the first one.

The original Kingdom Hearts is better. It's a simple story of friendship.

KH2's storyis pure japanese trying to be deep crapfest. Seriously it ruined the series for me,no desireon picking up the PSP game, and probably won't get KH3 if/when it comes out. The designs wreaked of tween/emo/skater influences. It's like an annoying child acting like he's a big kid. Then there are the battles which became even more button-mashy than a Dynasty Warriors game.

Kingdom Hearts 1 is a lot more platformer-ish, requiring you to think and a backtrack a bit, which can be fun for some, and a turn off for others. Kingdom Hearts 2 has more minigames and a partially enhanced combat system with drives and reaction commands, however, it is significantly straight-forward, and sometimes forces you to continue on into the level by blocking incorrect pathways, which can be good or bad depending on who you are. Some turnoffs may include the 2-3 hour tutorial and the restrictive arena, which way among the best parts of KH1.

Price isn't a factor, as they both are sold at the same price, $20. So it comes down to preference, though you may want to check out the first KH, just to connect the stories.
