I have to admit, I didn't give the game alot of a chance, where I am right now is just where I'm earning money to go to the beach. I know I barely got into it but does the game get pretty good? If so I'm going to try to get through this dreadfully boring beginning.
The beginning sucks because it's a tutorial for people who have either never played a video game in their life or are mentally disabled. It only lasts a few hours though and then you go back to being Sora and the game becomes amazing. Keep at it, it's well worth it.
Some people said they didn't like the first 4 hours of the game, but being my first ps2 game, I kinda liked it. Though when you start to play Sora, everything turns out to be GREAT. Get it, it's worth it.
Well, spending 4 hours in the beginning of the game already tells you liked it. It shouldn't take more than 3. But yeah, the beginning was an absolute pain. I *almost* quit during that time, because I also got Xenosaga II and Wild Arms 4 the same day and wanted to play them. But I stuck with it and ended up skipping sleep and playing it 15 hours straight. Which remains my record, because I'm not so crazy to play for 80 hours straight and then die. So just stick with it, it'll get better. I love the game so much I bought the FInal Mix+ version too just for the extra boss fights.
As soon as Seifer says during that long horrible tutorial "We just totally owned you lamers!" it was obvious that the game had lost all its potential to be cool.
Its a shame that they made such a bad sequal to such a good original game.
The begining does suck. Butonce your Sora it does get a whole lot better. The thing i didn't like on both the KH games was those blasted Gummie Ship parts between areas!!
roxas is cool...his tutorial unfortunately is not. You definitely had to be a complete mongoloid to not be able to play the game and actually need the tutorial. Once the whole Roxas back story is over and you get into the depth of the game with Sora it's amazing. As for Final Mix there's no diff in Kingdom Hearts II itself but...they released Final Mix as a 2 disc set which gives yo ua 3d version of the Gameboy Advance game chain of memories and thats enough to make me get it if it turns stateside as I loved chain of memories to death.
It's been said ten million times already, but the beginning really does suck bad enough for it to need to be reiterated. Also, Final Mix has special scenes and content that the normal one doesn't including a secret video as a teaser for KH3. You can see it on Youtube.
yes it gets a whole lot better, especially because it's kingdom hearts. also, i thought it was a spectacular follow up. your decision, but.. i thought it was good
