Sorry, but it hasn't been confirmed. Square Enix hasn't said anything about a release outside of Japan. The fall release date is only a rumor, I think released by EGM. It's possible for the game to come out, but Square doesn't really do re-releases of games. Most likely because they don't see a profit for them.

i also heard the same, it will only be release in japan:cry:....but i do hope this rumor isn't true :?
I think it's because re-releases don't sell very well in the U.S. at least. Final Fantasy X, X-2, and Kingdom Hearts all had been re-released in only in Japan because the demand is higher over there, I suppose.
I want to be hopeful, though. Considering how much new content there is, I'd think that they'd at least consider Chain of Memories. I've got the Japanese version pre-ordered, but let's hope that they'll announce something soon.
^They've been doing this for years, it's nothing new. They've even re-released some of their most popular games in Japan for the PS1 as a final farewell to the console. They come with toys and all kinds of other junk. It could be worse, Europe never got Xenogears and I think Chrono Cross.

For all that they're adding to KH2, excuse my language, but hell no! More Organization boss fights, new areas, a new Drive form, and the possibility of fighting a final boss that's actually challenging. I'd get it even if it didn't have the amazing-looking remake of CoM (which I wouldn't be interested in except for the fact that they're making a boss out of Zexion, like they should have).
I can't wait for my copy to arrive in a couple weeks! None of the other Final Mix/International versions have made it here, so I don't see why this would. FFX International was actually the game I bought my Japanese PS2 for.
I live in the UK and I hope that it is released over here too.

Just because GameSpot says that it's due for Fall 2007 in N/A, doesn't mean that it's a definite yes as Square Enix have not even confirmed this yet and they're the ones who develop the game!

You know?? I watched some screens of the CoM remake and some of them show Zexion boss fight... Â
They actually spent a long time adding tons of new stuff to Final Mix, from a full battle with Roxas to a remake of Chain of Memories. Unfortunately, it would take a lot of development time to make a US release possible; if the game was announced for the US, it wouldn't be ready until late 2007. Unfortunately, Final Mix has come too late and the PS2's been on its way out (in the minds of developers) for a while. KH2's Final Mix will almost certainly be an import for us.

That for some... but people here are just interested on seeing CoM since they werent able to play it on the GBA...
