Look What PSM3 says about PS2! INSANE!!!!

Our So called X titled PSM2 mag says that PS2 will soon belong to history and NoOne will remember games like:God of war,GTA,Burnout,Killzone etc...Coz PS3 is Here!! Those games will be overshadowed and Soon forgotten by all ps2 gamers!! And also they keep on sayin nasty things about PSP too! Im starting to HATE this mag! They want to promote ps3(wich sales poorly) over ps2! Some ppl dont seem to Respect anything.

PS2 is Here,Was Here and Will STAY with US coz WE the Gamers, LOVE it and Support it...DEAL WITH IT!

we all still remember ps1 games, better example, we still remember nes games, commodore, amiga games. and ps2 has more games to be remembered, you cant erase it from history nor from people's memories.

i think that i would avoid that magazine in the future, or ignore that quote. The ps2 will not be forgotten, there will be ppl who will continue to use the ps2 even after its long gone.

A few facts. . .

You obviously must have serious issues if you take these magazines seriously. Just like what 90% of the words that come out of Sessler and Webb's mouth, you don't take them seriously, PERIOD.

This also may come to you as a surprise but, according to the NPD Group, the PS3 has sold 50,000 more units over the Xbox 360 during it's first three months. Meaning if you compare both system's first three months, the PS3 sold more. At this same timeframe, the PS3 easily has outsold the PS1 and PS2. I don't know about you but that is not a negative thing. Too many people downplay the PS3 because they either can't afford it or just like to see the big ones fall. The PS3's biggest competitor is none other than the PS2. As you'll see here in this board alone,  the PS2 is still well off.

you said it right! even so, ps3 is still 100steps behind... they may have about 3-4 years to catch up... and that probably if ps3 can come out with few killer games to compete... i had doubt Devil May Cry 4 can succeed on ps3 ... will it fail like dmc2 on ps2?

Nintendo has done it too, and for the PS 2 it was done too. Its just a marketing estrategie, used many times by PRs in meetings in order to say that "X" console is going to be sooooooooo great that you are going to completely forget about the "Y" console, which is the previous one.

I have a Nintendo Mag from the launch of the NGC that said exactly the same thing, and I have another with a WW article in which the dev said that you were going to forget about the previous Zeldas when you played WW. 

Lol, MGS1 is still the best, and I also remember games of the PS1, like Vagrant Story, MGS, FFVII 'n Tactics, RE, Silent Hill, Legend of Dragoon, Dino Crisis, Castlevania and many other. Ah, I won't forget my PS2, never. PS3 S*** man, and whem I need to move foward, 360 all the way!

Off topic: Name one decent 360 game (Gears of War excluded since it's the only decent xbox1.5 game yet and it's just decent, not great or anything). There aren't any. And none are going to be coz PS3 will get the best DMC4(if Capcom doesn't f' it up) and GTAIV. And all of the exclusives suck. Wii's got LoZ:TP that means Wii's got one good game also. PS3's got nothing yet but when they release MGS4, PS3 will render all other consoles obsolete. Wii nor xbox1.5 neither got a game like MGS4 or FFXIII. Although Last Odyssey might be a great game. Halo is crap, well not the multiplayer or controls which are the best in console FPSs but the story sucks big time. Well it doesn't suck but it's very boring and very stupid. And BTW FPS games are meant to played on PC y'know. Nothing beats the mouse/keyboard combo. Nintendo's got Super Mario Galaxy which will not be as good as the next Rachet & Clank. No doubt about that. Mario's lost it.

On topic: PSM3 speaks nonsense. And so does gamespot so why bother. PS3 will replace PS2 but there's no way that we would forget PS2. Our generation or generations whatever will not forget PS2.

I agree... That is only a marketing tagline. It is not based on any fact, stadistics, market analysis or fortune-teller. Therefore, it should not be taken seriously.
