Manhunt 2 yes or no?

Right everyone who has played this game has at one point herd of the incident where some kid was playing this game repeatidly and killed one of his bestfriends and he blamed the game basically saying it brainwashed him into killing the poor kid i dont know the exact words he used but he did pretty much blame the game.

I just want to know your thoughts about the makers of Manhunt creating another one is it the right thing to do should they try to make this game less violent so we dont have another underage idiot getting their hands onto this and doing something stupid because i think we all know that the age certificate is ignored by alot of people.

First off i wont buy Manhunt i just find it too violent for me and i do play alot of 18+ games i think its just the option of how violent you want to be turns me off the game i still think they should be creating this game because it was the parents fault that the boy of 16 was playingthat game which was for 18s and over, not thatthat matters alot but i think alot of gamers do want to see this game and to not give into the media trying to stop us from having ultra-violent games because their is normal people out their that are sensible and just want to play the game and not to act like some sick freak.

Even though i am not buying this game im still suprised it hasnt got a PS3 and Xbox 360 version of itKeith4Chelski

I'm suprised myself, then again, it's not that "big" of a game - namewise, "storywise", it's not really all that popular - meaning publicly, I don't hear anyone talk about it like someone saying, "OMFG WHEN YOU KILLED THAT DUDE ALL THAT SCREAMING AND BLOOD HAPPENED AND IT WAS LIKE OMFG WICKED w00t!!!"

So why take really the time and put it on next-generation consoles? But then again, I can contradict that statement and say there are quite a few games out there for all the systems that are basically like, "The hell is this?"

Oh and yes, I'll be getting the game.

I probably would get it, I will read some reviews first, but some things do irritate me.

What people forget is that people have been killing people for hundreds of years, so some lunatic kills his friend and the parents use a video game for a scapegoat, i would be more concerned in there parenting, rather than a fictional game.

For the people who claim some of the violence isn't necessary, what are you talking about? The whole point of this game is to kill guys in the most gruesome ways possible, what were you expecting? barby horse adventure? It's an 18 for a reason.

I don't mind all the killing in Manhunt. I just felt at times that it wasn't really necessary to take out your enemies by performing fatalities on each one. But hey, this game take chances and people are actually liking it. I just think they shouldn't release Manhunt 2 on a wii , that console is like a family system.xriceballx

Nonsense. The DVD/VCR can be used for showing family friendly material. It's like this, you buy a porno, you watch it with your wife/husband or boyfriend/girlfriend, but you don't watch it with your kids or parents. It's not meant for family viewing. It's the same for the Wii, you don't allow your kids to play Manhunt 2.

Oh, I might get Manhunt 2 for the Wii.

I'm buying it. Kid's shouldn't be playing a game like Manhunt. That being said:

People love to blame someone else for their (or their children's) stupidity. Whether it is blaming Ozzy for their kid's suicide; Beavis and Butthead for their house being burned down because they couldn't keep their lighters in a safe place; a movie like jackass because their kid was stupid enough to lay down in traffic or blaming Stephen King for Columbine because he wrote the short story Rage.

never heard of this story. but manhunt is at the top of my list of games that i want. and im buying manhunt 2 for the wii, so i can act out the brutality.

not saying i love gore or am weird, but i love the fact that there are finally some games that go over the top.

i think people who kill other people and blame a video game are all ready f'd up to begin with. The only thing that a video game can teach you about murdering is how to. So if you go and kill someone because you were playing a game where you kill people i think that you are fuc*ed up!

anyway i am getting the 2nd, actually i have already paod it off and everything... im really looking forward to it!
