vote. They are the best games to hit the ps2. They have it all, beautiful graphics, enticing storyline, amazing gameplay, 5 star diolauge. Im going to go with RE4 , but just by a nose. What say you ? .
5 Star dialogue on Resident Evil 4? If one thing, it's dirty and unsophisticated. I go with RE4 because MGS' controls are way more outdated and clunky.
RE4 has many limitations such as environment interaction and character moves. In MGS3,the character is able to do CQC, hunt animals and eat them, and interrogate enemy soldiers.
I haven't played RE4 however this is a note to everyone who complains about controlls on MGS3 (which is one of the best games ever made). WHAT SMEGGING CONTROLLER ARE YOU USING!?!?!??!??!?!?!?!?!??!?!?! The controlls are not that bad and neither is the camera. Remember this, if you practised and read the instruction manual you would get somewhere. So again although i aint played re4 its MGS3 ALL THE WAY!!!
^No, the controls are outdated so is the ridiculous top down cameras. Kojima did get his head out of his ass by adding a MUCH NEEDED new camera angle for Subsistence. Now if part 4's controls would follow a more intuitive way of playing video games like a certain spy action game that has redefined the genre and made so many MGS fanboys mad. . .
if you mean splinter cell that game is way overrated. Its good yes but its still overrated. Where MGS is semi free roaming (especially its last outing) splinter cell is only the one route. Also MGS plays alot more fluidly and personly I find splinter cells controlls alot clunkier.
Yeah, both games are amazingly well done. Thinking specifically about the PS2, I'd give MGS3 the vote. The GameCube version of Resident Evil 4 is much better. Specifically, the movie files in RE4, which used to be in-game in the GameCube version, hurt the port. (It's like if Jak II's sequences were no longer in-game.) MGS3 is an amazing feat. Great graphics, story, gameplay, and replay value. The game design cannot be rivaled, either.
