apparently i was flamed when i asked that at the MGS4 Forum , probabli for alot of PS3 users :P , any way i really liked the series like million others , & is there any hope to it to be released on PS2 .
& another thing , if it was ever to be released on the Wii , like that wont it be released on the PS2 as well , since like the Wii have almost the same graphical Engine as the PS2 & Xbox , except for it's Wireless Remote Controller :?
You weren't flammed because there were a lot of PS3 users, you were flammed because it is a totally unrealistic notion. There's more of a chance of it coming to the Wii than the PS2, though even an MGS2 remake for the Wii might be a bit much to ask for. To answer your question simply, there is a 0% chance that it comes to the PS2, it would be on the 360 before it goes to the PS2.
i've said it before, and i'll say it again, MGS4 is being developed for the PS3, so why would you want a crappy watered down port of an amazing game? but on another note, Assassins creed is comming to the N64:) (obvious sarcasm)
i seriously doubt it. MGS is one of Sony's biggest game franchises when MGS is released they will probably sell 1000s of units in a short time. so from a marketing stand point it wouldnt make much sense, even if they did release it to the ps2 well after the ps3 release.

it would be great that mgs4 would be transfered to the ps2 so that many ppl can afford this without spending 1000$ on a ps3. BUT hideo kojima team would have to DOWNgrade a lot of stuff in order for this game be compatible to the ps2 system. because of the use of the blue-ray disk, this game would def contain lots of info, and to squeeze all that to a regular dvd is very frustrating and would basically take down a lot of content.
so yea, it would be good, but theres gonna be lots of consequences.
If  Kojima is using 50 gb blu ray disc for MGS4 than why are there games like def jam ICON,SPIDERMAN 3(i simply love it) etc.coming on XBOX 360 with the same title,but XBOX 360 uses 30 gb equalint HD DVd,so why MGS4 can't come PS2.
