need a good rpg for the summer

any suggestions for good ps2rpgs? i need sumthin to occupy my time over the summer.

already played both KH games, final fantasy X and XII, and tales of symphonia

looking for something relatively recent (like within 1-2 years) but i'm open to suggestions.

Well , at the moment im playing Shining force EXA and its pretty good... U can also get Odin sphere (i know nothing about it :) or Rogue Galaxy , .hack//gu , Tales of the abyys , Final Fantasy XII , Disgaea 2 , Tales of Legendia ,if u dont like those , contact me , ill think of more :D

By the way , i saw that u are a fan of Kingdom hearts 1,2 . Do u have any info on the release date of KH2 final mix+ ???

how about god of war(1,2):roll: ,.,. well i think it depends on how you play a game,,. if you want to make your game last 2yrs or so,,..thengetall the secrets and stuff,,.. get to lvl 99 to all the characters,,... how about radiata stories,,.

If you want something with an amazing story get Xenosaga 1-3 and marathon them in order. It should take you about between 70-90 hours to just beat all of them. Then there is all the side stuff. Valkyrie Profile 2 also has an amazing story.

If you just want something that is insanely long try Dragon Quest 8, though it's not nearly as good or long as previous Dragon Quest titles. If you don't mind going to older games get Dragon Quest 7 from the PS1, because that is at least a 200 hour game not counting side quests.

Other noteable titles include: Radiata Stories, Tales of the Abyss, Atelier Iris, Disgaea (even though it's a strategy RPG), Shadow Hearts series, and Star Ocean: Till The End of Time.

XenosagaIII is good,Suikoden III if you like strategy rpg or Disgaea that is pretty fun,Rogue Galaxy is gona make you enjoy a good time(a bit like F.F XII),Growlanser:Generations if you want to risk,the weaker are Grandia III or Drakengard 2 a bit old too... snizo

If he hasn't already played through Xenosaga 1 and 2 he won't like, or be able to understand, Xenosaga 3. You have to play the Xenosaga series in order because of how the story goes, and it has no backtracking. Xenosaga 3 is amazing though. It's like the biggest thank you gift for everyone who suffered through the second one, and then some.

dragon quest viii is the best rpg IMO, its long and have a lot of things to do, fun and Akira Toryama made an excellent job in the graphics :)

My favourite gaming genre of all genres. :)

Here is a list,

Rogue Galaxy(Great), Radiata Story(Great), Valkyrie(Good),Xenosaga 1-2-3(Great), Dragon Quest(more than great), .hack(you may get bord while playing), Tales of the Abyss(great), Odin Sphere(you will feel sad), Atelier Iris(good) and Growlanser Generations(if you are looking for a story but not the graphics).

Well I love all games :), but I think Rogue Galaxy, Dragon Quest and Radiata Stories are the best + Xenosaga for sure.
