I need a new PS2 Hack 'n Slash RPG. I already have Champions of Norrath, Champions Return to Arms, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2. So is there a RPG for the PS2 that's like the other Hack 'n Slash games that I have?

The X-men legends/Marvel Ultimate Alliance games come to mind. Then there are the Shining Force, FR : Demon Stone, The Bard's Tale, and Y's games. If you want games with more of a story/sidequest/character development feel then you could try out Star Ocean, Kingdom Hearts 1/2, Rogue Galaxy, and Dark Cloud 2.

Try .Hack//G.U. vol. 1//Rebirth.
I'm playing it right now, and the battles never get boring. And for once, levelling up doesn't seem like a chore!

... Ok well I was playing it, until my right analog stick got stuck for some reason and it keeps swirling the screen about.
Ugh. Maybe I played too much.

Try Kh 1/2, God of war, devil may cry and Rogue galaxy etc.

The best example of hack n slash rpg is X-Men Legends/Marvel Ultimate Alliance. They are amazing.

I enjoyed Shining Force Neo, but don't expect it to be anything like the old Genesis/Saturn versions. It switched to hack 'n slash and it's not too bad!

justice league heroes is a nice alternative to marvel's heroes
i personnaly enjoy the dc universe alot more, and the game being based on a 2 character screen makes its better than the 4 character screen in marvel

if not those...Star ocean for ps2 was a great rpg with hack and slash elements
