Which one has the best career mode? Which one has the best cars? My favorite cars are Muscle cars. Which one has Muscle cars. As you can see I have a crisis and any help would be awesome. Thanks

I've only played the PC demo for Carbon, but as far as I can tell there isn't a huge difference in the gameplay.  The drift competitions are probably the biggest addition.  The wingman feature was hardly noticable for me.  Carbon seems to have a wider range of cars from Japanese imports, exotics, and American muscle cars.  Overall it just seems like a slight upgrade to me, but if you don't have either and you're really looking for muscle cars you should probably go with Carbon.

You should be able to pick up Most Wanted pretty cheap so i think you should go ahead and get both.

Well...I liked both...but I would say to pick up MW...the reason why I say that is because it was more challenging...at least for me. Carbon is way too easy for me... I haven't lost once but on MW I have lost a few times.

Carbon is basically a very slight upgrade of Most Wanted. I like them both, but Most Wanted tips it for me. And also as someone else said, it's much more challenging than Carbon.

Ugh, where are the real fans of Need for Speed here? The ones who think the tuner scene ruined the games for good.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 is better, by miles. Also there's Porsche Unleashed, III:SE, and the best one of all, High Stakes (PC).

I liked both, but Most wanted was a better game to play. Carbon just seemed like a rehash with a minor tweek. The drifting was good but not great. I've noticed they have shyed away from the indepth story they used in Underground and have gradually gone more basic. THe new one I think will be along the same lines.

But I say get Most wanted and then when you finish that, buy Carbon as that one will then be cheaper.

-NFS Most Wanted is by far the better game but if you like muscle cars Carbon would probably be better.

-NFS Most Wanted has ok Car customization, great cop chases, and great races. The cops is what the game is really about. That offers a very good replay value becase even if you get sick of racing you can just start up yor game and cause some mayham and play with the cops which is really fun and challenging.

-NFS Carbon tried to have everything from undergrounds cool modes like drift, drag, and racing to most wanteds cop chasing but because of this they had to scale each of those things down. The cop chases arent nearly as good as in most wanted and neither are the drift modes from underground. They also put in this wierd body modification tool that lets you stretch body parts however you want but the selection of normal parts is totally lacking. I love to modify the wheel wells though and make them extremely low profile and sunken in and super wide. it looks so wicked. But I dont think the replay value is that high. But again this one has muscle cars so it might be the one for you specifically.

-NFS Pro Street.......this is the next NFS game and it will be out by the end of the year. It looks like it focus's alot on car damage. According to one of the video interviews it looks like they might be messing with car physics again which is very scary since from underground on its been perfect. I dont know much else about the game but it looks cool as always and looked like it might have some new style cars like some nissan prototypes and stuff. If you have to ay very uch formost wanted or carbon I would hold off and only rent them until Pro Street drops and either becomes one of the best in the series or a piece of crap.

MOST WANTED: longer career mode, much more to do.

CARBON: muscle cars, muscle cars, and more muscle cars. REAL ones from the 60's and 70's.
