Never Had a PS2...

I consider myself a huge video game fan. Owned every Nintendo console ever, and played vast amounts of games. Love all kinds of games. I have never had a Ps2. I know that seems kind of contradictory. But here at college my roomie has a ps2. So I'm looking for games that fit two categories:

Games that I would be incredibly stupid to miss out on. Games that Defined the system

and Games that won't break the bank, because I won't have the ps2 forever.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

And again.. I play fps, rpg's, action, fighters, puzzle

FFX and XII

GoW I and II

Ratchet and Clank (all of them)

Jak (all)

erm.....

Its very obvious get Gow1 and 2, MGS2 and 3, DMC1 and 3, FFX and maybe XII, Tekken 5, Black, get GTA if u like it, Ace combat if u like that type of games i love them, Zone of the ender2 AMAZING GAME, Persona 3, SMT nocturne and DDS1 and DDS2, Okami. Thats pretty much it those are almost all my fav games at least the ones i can think of right now.

Best FPS on PS2 for very cheap: TimeSplitters 2. Period.

Racing: Gran TUrismo/Burnout

MEtal Gear Solid

U may want to try Final Fantasy Series

Shadow of Colossus is supposedly very beautiful.

Buy a PS2, you won't regret it.

Tons of games that won't waste your money!.... FFX, FFXII, Gran Turismo 4, Silent Hill 3, Silent Hill: The Room, Resident Evil 4, Ace Combat 4, 5 and Zero, Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 3! Lots of them, that is all I can think as of now. So little time so many good games to play you know!!!
