I personally think Okmai i wa son of the best looking games ever, the style really fits the moods of the game and draws you even further intothe immersivestory. Agree?
Artistic genius, but do not look at it as a cel shaded game, because that isn't the style that they were going for. They were trying to imitate a specific art style (I think it's called Japanese wood block art or something like that, it slips the mind so don't quote me on that).
I agree.Okami is one of the best game for the PS2.The game it look a little like a zelda game but it is a artistic genius and a perfect game for the PS2.And i hope for a new Okami game,the Okami 2 on PS2.:D
hmmm there's a new look at an old game. I'd definitely say it's Artistic Genius but the style of graphics I can see why someone would call it a wannabe, but the games are way to different in feel to compare. Maybe if Twilight princess had taken the same graphics style as cell prism then I could see this forum having a more viable arguement due to the gameplay as wolf link.
Okami is definitly Artistic genius, some people might say that the game resembles Zelda or what not, but that doesnt take away that the game Is Fun, pleasant, with a great story, and it just basicly draws you in........IMO this is definitly one of the best games ive played...
The style the game portrays is hundreds if not, thousand years old. That's not genius. But its a beautiful game, too bad will be ruined on the Wii. . .

Because the same layouts get used over and over.Sure Okami plays just like some zelda games but those same zelda games play like other games and those play just like others and so on. Okami is its own game and its own great story. You would be stupid to say that Okami is just a zelda rip off, dont play it. I think people just over react when they constantly see how this game is like zelda. I dont think people are saying that as a bad thing. They are saying wow this game rocks just as much as zelda.

Okami is very original IMO. No game is similar to Okami.
Okami's run basic gameplay concept is like Zelda, but it's execution was original and excellent. I absolutely loved the end boss fights and my only complaint would be that the story could have been better. There's too much exposition.
Okami was Genious. It was captivating, informative with *** history and simply marvelous. Who can ever say such a horrible thing about it?darkfighter000
