Well i absolutely loved ICO and just purchased SOTC hoping it can live up to its older brother. so how does okami compare to these?
I imagine the combat system is shallow and easy since the game's focus lies in story telling and atmosphere.
Okami is many things.....the games combat is relatively simple, but thats the only (negative) point i could come up with. Other than that the game is almost perfect.
Since you asked .....YES YOU MUST HAVE THIS GAME. if you liked ICO and SHADOW OF THE COLOSUS and had the attention span necesary to complete them than this game is for you brother.
GO and buy it...and if you dont like it ill send you your money back .....(NOT)....but you will like the game I guarantee it.
Okami is one of those games that will be remembered as great things. Get it. You wont be dissapointed, since as ICO and SOTC, its a beatifully designed game that may lack in combat but excels at all the other things. The game is about a Japanese legend (Yamata no Orochi). As some new stuff you will have the brush to magically create things as you learn new techniques. In my opinion a 9 was not enough as a score, and should have deserved a 9.5/9.6. Taking into consideration that games as shallow as Gears got it. Okami pushes the PS2 hardware to its limits and the sweet "ink paiting" artistic style of the whole game makes it an eye candy.
In my opinion its a must buy and you should get it now, or at least rent it to see what it is about, since its not a game for everyone.
OKAMI and SOTC are, in no way, related dude, aside from teh fact that both are absplute masterpiecesWell i absolutely loved ICO and just purchased SOTC hoping it can live up to its older brother. so how does okami compare to these?
