Perhaps I was a bit of a Rosie O Donnell there, I'll give you my two cents.
DMC3- Will challenge you to some extent. Capcom made it easier with the Special Edition, but it still has the nice hard difficulty levels if you wish.
Bully- Easy, fun, memorable game. It has some issues like controls not so responsive, it will freeze on you once in a while, glitchy at parts.
MGS3:S should be cheap now since Konami closed its online mode recently. It may be a bit more expensive than SE, but the new camera angles and MG1&2 included are worth the price.
Part VII is too expensive and should be avoided. If you have a GBA or DS, I think the first 6 main entries are now available for those consoles. Parts VIII and IX are relatively cheap too.
