Im getting a HDTV to play my 360 on but i still play my PS2 tons. I heard there is something you must do to get it to work or display a good picture on a HDTV? Do i even need to do anything? Or should i just do what i did with my old Tv and just plug the scart lead into the back. Do i need a different cable to make the picture what it should be or even work?

Sorry for all the questions lol. If you could please reply, this would help me a great deal as im getting the TV tomz in the moring so i need a answer ASAP

Thanks, Dan.

Go to the browser and tell it what kind of set you have 4:3 or 16:9 What video cables you're using. I'd recommend component video cables. Even when you have that set up, resolution is determined by the game. Most come in 480i. If you'r lucky some come in 480p. i don't think there is any HD games for the PS2. I could be wrong though.

Most of your PS2 games are going to look a little more jaggy because of the fact that they only run in 480i. You get used to it though.

I know there are no HD PS2 games lol. Im getting a 26" HDTV and, of course thats going to make my 360 look better but it will make my PS2 look a little jaggy, right? How bad is it? Cause i also have a Wii which will probablly run in the same way. Is there anyway to make it look just like it does on a normal TV, like what i have now thats just broken :p

It looks awful if you use composite cables. I connected my to a HDTV with component cables. Some games look a lot better(Burnout) but others loose some of their quality(FFX).

I use a HDTV for my Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360 and my old 19' SDTV for my PS2 and Xbox. I hate the way the Ps2 and Xbox games look on my HDTV. FFXII looked like a ps1 game on my HDTV.

Some games such as RE4, GH2, GT and GOW2 have progressive scan (480p). I recommand that you buy Component Cables for your PS2 to use on your HDTV, the picture will look much sharper ( I noticed the difference right away ). Of course, you have to enable the Progressive scan within the game itself.
